Q. Will my credit card and/or e-check be protected? How secure is the MyFloridaEHPermit.com?
A. Yes. Your information is encrypted and the credit card processor, NIC, has firewalls in place to ensure that your financial information remains secure.
Q. What are my payment options online?
A. The Online Permitting System will accept Visa, MasterCard, electronic check (ACH), Discover, American Express, debit cards and prepaid cards.
Q. Will I be charged a fee for paying online?
A. ACH (electronic check) has a flat convenience fee (approximately $0.35 ). For example, if you are paying a $250 fee, the convenience fee will be approximately $0.35 . Please note that some banks require their account holders to notify them before conducting ACH transactions. Credit or debit card has a percentage-based convenience fee (approximately 2.43% of the total amount). For example, if you are paying a $250 fee, the convenience fee will be approximately $6.075.
Q. What is an e-check?
A. "E-check" means electronic check. It is an electronic version of a check used to pay over the internet. Some banks require their account holders to notify them before conducting ACH transactions.
Q. Is it possible for my e-check payment to bounce?
A. Yes, an e-check is like a paper check. If you do not have sufficient funds to cover the amount of the e-check, your payment could bounce. You also need to enter your bank account number and routing number correctly. Some banks require their account holders to notify them before conducting ACH transactions.
Q. How can I contact or mail my County Health Department?

Q. What can I do on the website?
A. You can currently pay your fees and print your renewal permit(s).
Q. Will online billing automatically assess late fees?
A. No. Late fees are not automatically added by the system. Contact your local County Health Department for additional information if you feel you may be assessed a late fee.
Q. Which option should I choose to create a new account?
A. If you received a bill from Environmental Health, enter the permit number and bill id.
    1. Answer the security questions.
    2. Proceed to the home page and enter your new login id and password.

B. If you have never received a billed invoice from the Environmental Health bureau, enter your email address.

Q. Why can't I print my permit?
A. To print your permit, your permit must follow the below process:
      1. Due - Apply payment for permit(s).
      2. Submit - Verify addresses and possibly application information (where applicable) and submit the application to CHD for review.
      3. Under Review - Your application is awaiting CHD review.
      4. Print - Your permit is available for printing. Please note you cannot print a previous year's permit.

Q. Why is my permit in Under Review status?
A. Permits can be placed in Under Review status for several reasons, including those listed below. An email will be sent to you when the permit is available for printing.
      1. There was a problem with your payment.
      2. You paid by e-check and the e-check has not cleared NIC.
      3. You made changes to your information that must be reviewed by your local county health department.
      4. An action is required by your local county health department for your permit type.
